~ First Art Doll of 2011 ~

I have been using Picasa for I don't know how long, and just discovered the create section... thought I would have a play.....


This is Steampunk, with her moving magnifying spectacles and musical movement backpack which plays 'somewhere over the rainbow', no less! - inspired by an image you can see on my flickr page HERE, for the first quaterly ADO Challenge.  I love the challenges, and my aim this year is to particiapte in all of them!!

Since it's the New Year, I thought I would share some eye candy, and my new calling cards which I am thrilled with!
This was custom designed and produced on a Heidelberg Offset press by Julie over at GoGoSnap
They have rounded edges, on a fabulous quality heavy matte, a vintage look, and a lovely decorative backside (now you can't say that very often!)  We are now working on the authenticity and care instuction postcards... so excited :O)

These arrived from Papaya Art.. the calender is gorgeous, and the stickers are so fabulous, I can't bring myself to use them!!

    Each child of yours is so wonderfully unique and beautiful. I'd love to see everyone who has a doll of yours take photos of them with their owners. And I always get in trouble when you post about other artists that I discover through you. Ms. "Punks" accessories are over the top smashingly great ;)

I was rendered speechless (quite a feat)when I read your post :) I'm sending you very warm vibes and my heart felt gratitude.. and I'll stop being mushy..REALLY :) I love this girl with her engineer boots, and I give a giant stamp of approval to your new "paperwork".     I am extremely jealous! I LOVE THIS DOLL and the stickers, jewlery, all of it. Wow! I think this is your best doll ever! I love the wings. Steam Punk is so cool. Very pretty calling cards too. Love the pig.

    I am fascinated by all those beautiful things! I have eeevn clicked on the links because I am nosy when it comes to nice things. He!he!
    The card made me smile because I had a very long chat with one of the pigs of the rescue centre today :)) It was so funny all the noises it made when it saw me. I imagine these were happy noises because it went straight to the gate for a cuddle. :)))

    Your new family member is too cute for words Abbi!

    AND...I am gob smacked by your doll! You were so quick! I haven't even started mine yet! WOW!!!
