Cinderella

Made for the Art Dolls Only and Cloth Doll Artistry challenge....   I am moving more toward Puppen Fimo... it's easier to work with, but I need to get the 'cooking' time properly managed!  She has had several pairs of legs :O)

She is now in my Etsy shop
I had no idea how 'grim' the Grimm Brother's Fairy tales could be... Glad I didn't realise this as a child... I think I would have been somewhat psychologically damaged!

On with the next.....

  6. So beautiful, I've never used Puppen Fimo before. Can you compare it to anything else? I've tried Sculpy, Super Sculpey, Fimo, Creative Paperclay, Das Pronto, Magic Sculpt and La Doll...still haven't mastered bake time myself :)

  13. Hi, Abi ... Wanted to thank you for the blog comment and tell you that Cinderella is absolutely beautiful!

I love PuppenFimo. Though I haven't sculpted with it in a while... being so absorbed with paperclay right now :D
I think Puppen has THE best texture and color for realism and so far to me it's the easiest to sculpt with. Doesn't get all sticky or extremely soft. Also isn't prone to create "moonies" like a lot of the other clays.
Best of luck with your experiments on it!
    Hugs,
    Summer

  16. Wonderful works of art. I agree about "Grimm's" they can be a bit scary. Have you seen the new "Alice in Wonderland?" Sure isn't the "Wizard of OZ" which scared me to death when I was little....mean witch.

  22. Your doll is amazing...and I am extremely jealous of your Library Card Cabinet ...I have been looking for one for ages !

I think another common interest we may share is the love of "old things" and junky antique shops !

  24. Oh my gracious - I just love her - I soooooo want to play with my clay, but I can't ever get all of my cloth out of the way - there are always orders to fill. One day I am going to say - VACATION from cloth and move on to clay for a day or two...your work is amazing!! I love to peek at your creations!

    XOXO Jess
