~ New Doll ~

I wanted to try something new, so learnt a sculpting technique from the late Hannie Sarris... HERE

The kittys are 7 days old... all doing well, & the two kittens with twisted legs are slowly improving.  I could only get two quick photos before mum got really pissed! I was trying to photograph Toblerone, who has a cute little triangle marking on his face, when mum yelled at me, grabbed him, and took him back to her nest. The photo was too blurry, so will try another day.  She lets me do physio on them, she just doesn't like the camera I guess!

  1. Hannie was an amazing artist, I was lucky to meet her in person and to admire her dolls. She was working on a new book but did not get the time to finish it. Her dolls were so fragile, just like she was. We still miss her on the fantasy-forum. Your kittens are very cute!

  5. Thank you so much for the Link, Abi....Paperclay is on my list of things to try....this is a great step by step way to see if I'd enjoy making dolls :)

Yours is so soft and ethereal....I love that wee beauty mark on her lip...you always give them such wonderful details and personalities all their own. Do you ever write little biographies for them that they carry with them to their new homes? Every aspect of their creation just seems so weel planned and intricately executed :D

...and those sweet kitties! Such cute little fluffy bits of purry love :)

  8. It's always interesting and useful to try new things, to explore different styles of work, to learn new techniques. It's strange to see a doll of yours with a different profile, but I find her beautiful and elegant, too!
The little kitties are so sweet! They are lucky to have you, taking care of them!
