Racoon!

Isn't he cute?! He sits under my car every night, tucking into cat food! 5.30pm on the dot - used to be 8pm, but he figured if he gets there early, he can beat the other 7 Racoons!

  1. Why don't you sit out a bowl of water too. I think they like to wash their food before they eat it. He is really cute! How many pets do you have?

  2. Yes - he has a big bowl of water, next to the other dishes that you can't see in the photo!
I have 8 cats and 5 dogs, and 8 visiting Racoons!

  3. So the cat food is for the racoons? You don't have feral cats you feed? Ours just clamour into garbage cans and make a mess. Just make sure they don't want to use your roof as their home. It's nasty getting them to leave.

  4. Well the cat food is for the feral cats, which aren't wild anymore! but the Racoons found it too! I don't think we will have a problem with them moving into our loft - we don't have one! we also live in the middle of 100's of acres of wilderness, so I think they have plenty of woodland to satisfy them!

  5. It must be great to live in the woods. I live surrounded by hunt club land which is woods too but it's not my woods if you know what I mean? I've heard racoons can be pesty little things at times. Just don't let them in the house. My neighbor had goats, ducks, chickens, doves and then lamas. My favorite is the lamas. They come when I call.

I'm thinking that since they love to wash things.... wonder if they could be trained to do dishes?......

  10. how cute! You've got your hands full with all that wildlife, lol! Have you gotten close to the raccoons or are they pretty wild?
the one you saw on my blog was rehabilitated, from when she was a baby, and once they released her into the wild, she continued to come back every evening for her food. She eats dog food, peanuts, and goes crazy for marshmallows :-)

I also have some pics of 3 new baby raccoons this woman is looking after, which I should put on my blog at some point. They purr like kittens when you rub their back, and are absolutely adorable!
