It would be great to stop thinking, just once in a while :) Buttercup here looks so chilled, and without a care in the world. She is just being (or rather, sleeping) I love that.
Its been a busy couple of months, we adopted a new pup. Her name is Molly. She is pup number 12.
My beloved parents came to stay for two weeks. It was great. I miss them.
And since then, I have been obsessing over a large room box, primarily to use as a photography space for the things I make. I don't play with dolls. Really. I don't.
I've been working on a bed design, and in the process of making lots of bedding sets.
Dolly sized laundry sack ~
And when not obsessing over doll related stuff, I have been working in the garden. We have 7 more acres to un-jungle. We haven't got very far, but we intend to get it all straight by the end of summer in preparation for some new animals. The animals will hopefully keep the land nice and tidy :) but what animals do we choose.....
Buttercup! Such a sweet cat name, really love that. Wish l could play with dolls sometimes....can get so carried away planning and making stuff, but l am just too old to play. Suppose one could say that l play around with dolls and dollshouses, and get a little obsessed :). Pup looks so sweet, cheeky little face :). Good luck with all your projects Abi, blessings, Pam x
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam. Never to old to play :)
DeleteLove the new bed design and the room box is wonderful. I don't play with dolls either...yeah right!
ReplyDeleteLOL. Cause you don't :) Thanks Rere. Hope all is well with you x
DeleteYour pets are so sweet! Buttercup and Molly...love the names. I'm glad you enjoyed your parents visit...they look so happy!
ReplyDeleteLove your bed design and the room you built for your doll photos. I need to make one of those. Seven acres is quite a bit of land and
no doubt takes much of your time. It will be exciting to see what animals you choose.
Thank you :) I'd rather like to work outside all the time, maybe not so much in the winter :)
DeleteHi Abi! Your super cute pet pics were the perfect way for me to start the day.. thanks for sharing them! :) Ps: soon my dolls will need some new pieces in their wardrobe, I think ;P
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! your creatures are totally adorable - I love the baby goat with flowers! so lovely.
DeleteYour work with the tiny dolls wardrobes and beds and staging is so fascinating. The design and details are also perfect. The bedding is exquisitely delicate! Wow! Love the new pup! ♡♡♡
ReplyDeleteThanks so Much!
DeleteI appreciate your words :)
SO much wonderful things happening in your corner of the world!! I am working on a room for my Blythe girls too....maybe if I ever get it finished I will get better about taking pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteKim! thanks so much for stopping by :) I cant wait to see your room box. I tried to leave a comment on your blog, and couldn't for some reason - I just wanted to say how much I love the two quilts, and how cute Finley looks and congratulations to Courtney!
DeleteHope you have a great weekend... you seem to be very busy!!
Well I came to see who this Abi was who left a comment on my blog…really glad I did! Your furniture work, the bed, linens, are remarkable! Seriously perfect! And I am in need of that metal braiding you found…hobby lobby I believe it said? I'm so glad to get to know you..I'm a follower!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I don't blog very often, but was going through my reading list and you were on it! I have no idea how that happened, but I really enjoyed reading your posts!
DeleteAnd yes! Hobby lobby - its in the wired ribbon/gardening section near the wedding stuff! Its great to work with.
Thanks for coming over to find out who on earth I was :)
Hi Abi, great to see a post from you, it has been too long! I am not a winter person, can't seem to get anything accomplished outside when it's cold:( . Seven acres is a lot to manage, and clear. We have a total of five here, three are wooded, and the other two we mow, and maintain. Just one animal keeps me on my toes, I can't imagine 12, and more! Wow, the dedication is admirable. The dolly bed is so sweet, reminds me of the princess and the pea. Thanks for stopping in to see me, and my rockabilly pinup. I had lots of fun creating her. I agree, we are never too old to play with dolls:) XOXOX Christel
ReplyDeleteHey Christel. thanks for stopping by. I'm not so keen on working out in the cold either, although luckily, the cold in Texas, is pretty mild :) I really must make time to create another doll.. you are so inspiring with your work.

ReplyDeleteOh Buttercup! I feel like that today. :)
ReplyDeleteI almost missed this post! I'm glad that I took a break from the garden and was scrolling through my blogger reading list.
Molly looks adorable, I'm so glad she found you!
I have another kitty! I haven't blogged about because...well, you know.
But I named her Hazel. She's between 7 - 10 years old and her ear tips were frozen off and her paw pads had frostbite and dropped off.
yep, oh and she only weighed 3.5 lbs....now she's chubby and living in my house and being bossy! LOL!
Anyway, LOVE the doll room. you are so super talented.
the bed, the stairs, everything, just amazing.
Your parents look so sweet. So glad you got to spend some time with them!
Take care Abi! xoxo
Oh my Gosh Cindy! Poor kitty :( although lucky kitty now she is with you. I love the name Hazel. You are amazing.
DeleteI just adore anything you design for your dolls. Of course I am drawn to the beds and bedding seeing as I have a "bit" of an obsession with quilts and fabrics. Good luck clearing your land. I am sure you are never short of company while you work even if they are sleeping nearby.
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen! Yes - the critters are great, as long as they aren't snakes :)
