Down on the Ranch...

We have new feet!  Stella the Shih Tzu and Ghost the Flame Point Siamese (very posh eh!)
Stella was picked up off the road yesterday by my husband, Jesse - she was munching on a rancid deer carcass, she was covered from head to toe in dirt and smelt so bad!  Her fur was so matted, it was harbouring a million fleas and ticks - no joke - she stood patiently in the bath for an hour whilst I bathed her, and cut out all the matted fur.  Like me, she no longer has long hair (not that mine was matted with fleas!!tee hee) I wished I had thought about taking a 'before' photo...
She is settling in well with our other five dogs, and she loves the cats...  I'm not sure what Stella and Onray were looking at....

Ghost, cat number 10, turned up on our doorstep, very hungry but well kempt!.  I guess he either got dropped off, or re-homed himself.  Either way, he is the most adorable and playful young cat ever!

  13. It's so... BEAUTIFUL how you help the animals. I feel very moved especially for Stella, because I had Shi-tzu dog of exactly the same colours for 14 years... They are so cute!

  15. Hi Abi, it makes me so mad that people dump cats or not look after them properly and they stray. They are certainly lucky when they stray past your house.
Our little Ned, I don't know where he goes but everyday we have to pick ticks of him, always around his cute little ears...may have to check the roads for dead carcasses.
There is also a stray feral cat that we need to catch, we have been looking after him but he is really sick looking. He would have been a beautiful kitten and elegant looking cat had his owners looked after him. Very distressing.
On a good note I bet all your little critters keep you warm during these cold winter nights.
Have a lovely Xmas with your family and friends, catch up with you in the New Year.
