Badger, dolls and more dolls....

Baby Badger is doing good... she is such a sweetheart.

Along with some other dollmakers/artists, I have been invited to attend an Art Doll and Doll House Exhibition in Dubai.  It's a wonderful opportunity, and my only challenge is to make 30 dolls in 6 weeks (make that 25 dolls in 5 weeks!)  here are my first 5, actually 4, (one still needs arms!)...

Gothic-ish

Icecream

Birthday

Steampunk

The lass on the right still needs a bit of work!

DOLL RAFFLE ~ I will be doing it, but will wait until after the show in July.  I want to dedicate as much time to both.  Thank you to everyone who has responded..will keep you updated!  If I don't sell any of the dolls at the show... at least folk have 30 to choose from!! tee hee

Paula's doll is adorable... Sally added her hair and hat, Nancy made her lacey undergarments, and I made her pinafore dress.  She is going to be hard to part with tomorrow!

And lastly, I will get around to visiting everyone's blogs... just been a bit occupied with doll making! I'm sorry!!

My Doll Giveaway/Raffle Question......

It's coming up for a year since I started my blog, and I was thinking about doing a doll giveaway, with a twist... but, I need your views...

* I want to raise money for our local animal shelter
* I make 'virtual'  raffle tickets
* I sell the raffle tickets for $2.00 in my Etsy and Ebay shop
* Each sold raffle ticket gets a chance of winning the doll
* I will make 2 dolls, so the owner of the winning raffle ticket gets to choose between dolls
* If the money raised exceeds my expectations, both dolls will be 'raffled'
* I will pay for the listings, and paypal fees and delivery of the doll
* 100% of the money raised will go to our local shelter

Ok? what do folks think?  is it going to work?  $2 for the chance of winning a doll? or even $1 per doll?!
I am going to email the shelter, and our local TV News, and see if I can generate loads of cash :O)

Before I proceed... I would appreciate all your thoughts......

Oh, and lastly, this is the doll I made for Melody's birthday (my sis-in-law)... she likes green, jewelry and flip-flops, so these elements were featured in the doll....
