Jakey and Jenkins

Good bye Jakey and welcome Jenkins

Our beloved one-eyed Jake suddenly died a couple of weeks ago, and we still can't quite get used to him not being around.  Two days ago Jenkins arrived on the doorstep.  He has no tail but, he is a very happy little soul and has made himself very much at home!  guessing he was another 'drop off'.

  1. My condolences on the loss of your Jake. It is so hard to lose a pet. I guess the powers that be brought Jenkins to you knowing you had a warm heart and soft bed for him.

  2. I'm so sorry for the loss of Jake...I know the feeling all too well... It's funny how one passes and another entered. Like the chicken (my favorite) I had to give her away (the other chickens were pecking at her) about 4 days later I found a very sweet hen in our alley happily munching grass... after trying to find her owner she's here with me and her flock.

I sent your witch off... let me know when you get it Ok?

  12. How sad it must be not to see Jakey's handsome face, what a gorgeous dog he was.
It's been such a bad year for pets.
Jenkins must have known that he was needed at your place.
Yve's right about ginger kitties, they are the best! and made even better by having no tail, wow what a cat!

  17. Oh dear Abi, I am so sad to hear you've lost your dog. I believe Jake was very happy with you till the end of his days.
I know that feeling of huge emptyness when the four-leg member of the family is gone.
It is just wonderfull that the poor homeless kitty has found the way to your home. It won't change Jake, but it will make the emptyness a little bit smaller.

    *hugs*

  19. I have a dog that I call Jakey too and he is tailess also, his owners cut it too short.
We took him in when his owners decided that he was a handful and were taking him to the pound!!!
he is the biggest pain in the behind but I love him to pieces!!
I hope your memories of Jakey, help you overcome your grief.
You are lucky to be adopted by Jenkins...
    Blessings,Flora
